Flasher units are designed to control the flash rate of vehicle directional indicators; this is achieved by providing regular interruption of the electric current in the indicator circuit.

Alternating flasher units are designed for use on vehicles requiring alternating flashing lamps (e.g. emergency vehicles and school buses), available in 3 pin configuration in 12v and 24v.
