EGR = Exhaust Gas Recirculation
Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) is a nitrogen Oxide (NOx) emissions reduction technique used in petrol and diesel engines. EGR works by recirculating a portion of an engine's exhaust gas back into the intake manifold in controlled amounts. The Exhaust Gas Recirculation valve is a component commonly found on many road going vehicles.
